Cinema Alma
If you are interested in history, you will certainly like to learn a little about the building of our hotel, where the famous Alma cinema was located during the First Republic.
Cinema was created in the original Baroque palace and was opened in the 20s of the last century. Back in the 1960s, for example, it screened films by Frederic Fellini. Once the cinema closed, it functioned as the warehouse for the film company. In 1987, the cinema for Czech Television employees and their guests was restored here. After 1990, young filmmakers set up a private studio in the area of the former cinema and the cinema moved to the premises of the Czech Television. Later, the building underwent several years of reconstruction and in 2020 the construction of our hotel Cube was completed.
